Folding shelter set up field barracks on the spot cold was installed "from the sky"

The army is busy when the weather is freezing

——Shenyang Joint logistics support Center, a brigade emergency support drill

President Xi Jinping pointed out that efforts should be made to build all logistics for the sake of war, adhere to the fundamental direction of ensuring war, and promptly solve the key and difficult problems that restrict the generation and improvement of logistics support capacity. Modern warfare is not only a competition of combat effectiveness, but also a competition of logistical support capabilities. Faced with difficult and dangerous conditions, harsh environments, and complex weather conditions, with stronger logistical support capabilities, the chances of winning a war increase. A certain brigade of Shenyang Joint Logistics Support Center solidly carried out emergency support drills under adverse weather conditions, further enhancing the troops' full-time and comprehensive support capabilities.

The snow was blowing and the cabin was warm

PLA Daily special reporter Wang Xuechao correspondent Zhao Weiyu

In late November, somewhere in Northeast China, a heavy snow suddenly fell.

"Informed by the superior, a certain detachment that is' fighting 'at the front line needs to be rested as soon as possible because of the cold weather and the long battle." My superiors asked my brigade to find appropriate positions and quickly open field barracks to provide security." With the instruction, a brigade of Shenyang Joint logistics Support Center launched an emergency support and support drill.

The brigade's field living camp responded to the order and immediately organized a shelter camp support team to look at the topographic map and find suitable camping points. Soon, dozens of kilometers from the "front line", they found a relatively flat, easy to maneuver and defend the col, as a field barracks to open up territory.

The officers and soldiers of the advance group took two off-road command vehicles and quickly reached the target area. Ren Guangpeng, deputy leader of the shelter camp support team, found that there was a flat area the size of two football fields between the two mountains on the left side of the road. After checking the map, Ren Guangpeng immediately reported to the battalion and planned the plan on site.

In a few moments, more than 10 self-loading and unloading shelter cars quickly arrived. Under the command and dispatch of Ren Guangpeng, the officers and soldiers in turn unloaded the shelter to the planned position in advance.

"We must finish this task before dark!" After unloading the shelter, Ren Guangpeng gave an order, the camp security team officers and soldiers quickly to class as a unit, the field barracks opened operations.

The reporter saw at the scene that the officers and soldiers acted in groups, starting from both sides of the shelter at the same time, first adjusting the shelter to a horizontal position, then opening the box plate upwards into the cabin top, then pulling out the hidden bottom plate from the bilge, and finally expanding the bulkhead folded inside the shelter and laying the iron frame bed. Soon, field barracks were opened.

The reporter saw that the makeshift field barracks was equipped with more than 10 sets of iron frame beds, lighting equipment and heaters. When the power was turned on, a warm current came over my face. After the opening of the field barracks, the officers and soldiers continued to work and set up supporting living facilities such as field bathrooms and field toilets.

Before dark, the field camp area for officers and soldiers to rest has been built in the vast snow field. Ren Guangpeng introduced that compared with the traditional tent camping method, the use of folding shelters to open field barracks is not only efficient and convenient, but also safer and more comfortable.

The cold wave is coming, and the warm clothes are descending from the sky

■PLA special correspondent Wang Xuechao correspondent Cao Helan Xitong

In the early winter, a brigade of Shenyang Joint Logistics Support Center performed resident training tasks in the deep forest of Northeast China.

One afternoon, the brigade support group received a cold wave warning from the superior, and immediately began to understand the cold equipment of officers and soldiers in the training area. The results showed that some officers and soldiers who participated in the training across the region lacked cold clothing. The brigade immediately decided to urgently supplement a batch of cold clothing for officers and soldiers, and completed the task as a combat support exercise.

"Before the cold wave hits, we must send the cold clothes to the hands of the officers and soldiers!" Upon receiving the instruction, the support element detachments immediately began operations according to the operational requirements.

Assistant Li Chuanhui generated guarantee details and loading and transfer orders through the database, and quickly organized officers and soldiers to accurately transfer materials out of the warehouse according to different categories, models and quantities.

In less than an hour, the cold was packed, sorted and packed. In order to be loaded into the hands of frontline officers and soldiers as soon as possible, they maximize the deployment of transport forces, load vehicles in multiple directions at the same time, and organize the delivery of materials in the first time.

During the transit, the convoy encountered freezing rain and the road became unusually slippery. Transporting supplies for a task force stationed in the back hills made it difficult for vehicles to move.

The reporter saw at the scene that the conservator Zou Dongyang took out the drone carried by the car and assembled it on the spot. Officers and soldiers will be packed into groups of cold bags into plastic bags, hanging under the drone. Zou Dongyang controls the remote control and directs the drone to take off.

Due to the snow, the flying condition of the drone is not stable. Zou Dongyang was fully focused, constantly adjusting the flying attitude and direction of the drone, avoiding obstacles such as trees and mountains, and successfully delivering the cold clothing accurately to the duty point. Later, Zou Dongyang operated the drone many times to transport all the cold clothes in place.

"Received, packed, intact, no damage, no error..." On the way back, the UAV received a reply from the mounted task team officers and soldiers, "I did not expect that before the cold wave hit, the cold was mounted 'from the sky'!"

The brigade leader introduced that in battlefield support operations, vehicle transport delivery is vulnerable to road conditions, weather and other conditions, only by strengthening the training of helicopters, drones and other materials delivery methods, master a variety of delivery means, in order to effectively improve wartime emergency support capabilities. The reporter learned that in the next step, the brigade will also organize the airdrop training of oil, ammunition, hot food, medicine and other support materials.
